You'll need to make the button glaze transfers a day ahead of time.
Just pipe large dots onto parchment paper.
Allow to dry for about 1 hour.
Poke two holes in the center (to resemble button holes) with a decorating tip.
Allow the buttons to dry overnight before gluing them onto the tree.
Outline and flood tree with either brown or white glaze.
Add lines with corresponding colors to give a wood grain effect wet-on-wet.
Allow the trees to dry overnight.
Next day, "glue" buttons onto tree with a dot of glaze on the back.
Add a small line across the two button holes to resemble thread.
