To make lipstick cookies you will need:
- Rectangle Cookies
- Black 10-Second Glaze
- Gray/Silver 10-Second Glaze
- Pink 10-Second Glaze
- Paint Brush
- Almond Extract
- Silver Luster Dust
I chose this design since I was taking 60+ of these cookies to Ukraine.
I wanted a sturdy cookie that wouldn't break easily.
I got my long thin rectangle cutter from Ecrandal (4" x 3/4")
but you can also get a nested set of rectangles here.
Start by outlining and flooding the base of the lipstick in black.
While you are letting it dry, you can also outline and flood the inner silver layers.
Wait until the black has dried for a few hours before adding the bottom silver layer
(to prevent bleeding).
This is the time you can also add the pink lipstick top.
Once they have dried overnight, you can brush on silver luster dust mixed with almond extract.
Since I failed to photograph this step, check out the same step on this post.
For a more 3D effect, you can also paint a little Americolor Bright White gel
thinned with almond extract to highlight the side and "flat surface" of the pink lipstick top.
Note: The nail polish cookies are a fatter rectanglular cookie with a pink "bottle" and a silver top.
I didn't do a tutorial since it seemed pretty basic and easy compared to the lipstick.
