Creating a 3D-look on cookies is one of my favorite past times. :)
Recently, I was going for a window in the center of the cookie that had a
different pattern than the raised surrounding base.
This idea can translate into a multitude of shapes and effects.
But since it was Valentines Day season, the heart cut-out was obvious.
But there's no limit to the different shapes, patterns, and textures that could be used here.
Outline and flood the entire cookie, adding any pattern or detail that will show through the "window".
After about 3-4 hours, use the cutter shape of your choice to
create an imprint around the center of the cookie.

Outline and flood the exterior portion of the shape in a complimentary color to the base.

And as always, add embellishments, textures, and patterns as you desire
to create that one-of-a-kind look.
