2017 Pre-CookieCon Classes: Registration Starts Friday October 28, 2016

CookieCrazie is offering classes at 2017 CookieCon!

Get ready for 2017 CookieCon.
Tickets for the convention go on sale Wednesday, October 26, 2016 @ 7 PM MDT.
It's an event of a life time.
Check out this blog post from last year's 2015 event.

In addition to the actual convention and sugar show, there will be pre-Cookie Con classes offered Wednesday, March 8 and Thursday, March 9 by a vast array of cookie decorators.

CookieCrazie is offering two different classes, one being offered twice.

To learn techniques related to the rustic style, check out the "Going Rustic" class offered twice on Wednesday, March 8.

And for all things shabby chic, take a look at the "Adding Shabby to the Chic" class offered on Thursday, March 9.

The registration for CookieCrazie's classes will begin
8 AM CST on Friday, October 28, 2016.

Tickets will be sold on a "first-come, first-serve" basis with a limit of 12 students per class.

New BRP Basket Boxes!

Once again, I had the distinct privilege of working with BRP Box Shop

to create a special box for this most recent installment of CookieCon.

At the first CookieCon, we worked together to create the Lantern Favor Box.

I wrote about the limited edition holiday version HERE.

It was such a successful first attempt.....that we decided to try something new at CookieCon 2014.

I had suggested that a basket is a very versatile item for presenting cookies.

It seemed like it might be an impossible feat for a paper box product to work as a basket

to hold a bunch of cookies...........but those BRP people are AMAZING!

And not only did they create a perfect basket box, but they designed it in several colors.

Turquoise Basket Box

Brown Basket Box

AND.......their cake pop stand fits perfectly in the bottom of the basket.....

so if you want to put cookies on sticks, they can stand up in the basket. 

As you can imagine......I was over-the-moon when they sent me the boxes to "test".

I had such fun creating berries and flowers to put into their new box wonder.

And all the CookieCon 2014 participants had the privilege of receiving one at the event.

CookieCrazie's Week in Review

Personal Side

It took me an entire week to "recover" from being gone at Cookie Con 2014.

I needed to catch up on sleep, family life, housework, blog work, etc etc.

I needed to write a full recap of the event.....which you will find here.

And then there were tons of little things that got neglected....and needed my attention.

But I finally achieved "getting caught up" this week.

Nice!

Cookie Con was an amazing event

As I continue to see photos and memories from others......I just smile and smile.

It's one of those things that is kind-of-like a mountain top experience.

:)

This week I had to dive back into cookie "work".

[It's really not to work to me......how can something so fun be work?!]

I'm an instructor at CookiesCool in Genoa Italy come November.

(It was orginally supposed to be the first of May......but got postponed.)

The organizers have made a bunch of changes to the format......

and I needed to come up with two additional classes to teach at the event.

They asked for some Christmas-related projects.....so guess what my themes have been this week?

Christmas quilting......and snowflakes. :)

{I'm a little hesitant to share the snowflakes for fear that people will revolt after our harsh winter!]

My daughter's bridal shower was Sunday. 

What a delightful time!

I'll do a full post on it soon.

The cookies were a hit......but best of all, my sweet girl LOVED them. :)

Wedding cookies coming up next month.....

Oh my.....CookieCon was fabulous.
I have so many things I want to write.....but I'll save it for my CookieCon 2014 post
coming soon!

As you'll see in the below Instagram photos.....
I posted lots and lots of photos the entire time I was at CC.

I was thinking of those at home who were sad and lonely.....
and wanted to make sure they were kept up to date on what was happening.

Since the CookieCon 2014 post is taking me a LLOOOONNNNGGG time to put together.....

Personal Side

Cookie Con 2014 is all we had hoped it to be.....and we've only experienced opening night so far!

I can't begin to tell you how much energy and passion is running through this hotel right now.

We just had an amazing opening by Arty McGoo and her husband, Mr. John.
F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S

Being with 400+ people from 44 States and 16 countries that love to decorate cookies.......
Amazing!

I'm exhausting from all the visiting, smiling, laughing, and just all-over enjoying being here.

It is very late and I need to get to bed.....but I just wanted to give you a tiny taste of what is happening in Salt Lake City.

Oh....and Friday afternoon, I am going to do a live interview at a TV station down the street.....
to share about cookie decorating and Cookie Con.
(Please say a pray for me to be calm and deliver the message with confidence.)

Next week I hope to give you a full report about the event.....
