Pink Silver Shabby Chic Christmas Cookie Collection

Shabby Chic has totally taken over the Christmas cookies.

Pink and Silver seem to be the perfect colors for the season.

I can not even begin to describe how fun and rewarding these cookies were to make.

Enjoy all the sights, smells, sounds, textures, and tastes of this beautiful season!

Here's some of my favorites...... especially the stocking.... :)

Shabby Chic Ruffle Christmas Tree Cookie (Tutorial)

Adding ruffles to a Christmas tree cookie gives it a shabby chic feel.

You can use any Christmas tree cutter you'd like.
This particular tree was hand cut.

Outline and flood it with white glaze.

After it has dried for a couple of hours, press on a scale texture mat (or any texture you'd like)
to give it some fun dimension underneath the ruffles.

Tint some edible clay with pink food color gel.
Make sure it is slightly thinned so it has a piping consistency.
(If you don't thin it, it will break your hand. ;))

Put it in a piping bag and use a ruffle tip (Ateco #030 used here) to create
some pretty ruffles all the way up the tree.

Add any embellishments to the tree that you'd like.

Shown in the photo, I rolled out some gray edible clay, froze it, and then cut different sized stars.
I allowed them to dry overnight, and then brushed them with silver luster dust,
stacked them on top of each other, and placed them at the top of the tree.
